Owlet Baby Care
Jr. Copywriter
Marketing
Owlet is a baby company that makes FDA-approved heart rate and oxygen sock monitors for babies to wear while they sleep. Insights are sent to the accompanying app, and if levels become dangerous, a loud alert is sounded. Owlet also markets accompanying cameras and accessories.
My role as a junior copywriter kept me busy and taught me a lot about creative marketing. I joined while the company was still a startup, and I was heavily involved with helping the company go public. The senior copywriter and I were the only writers and were instrumental in strategizing the company’s style guidelines.
My days involved:
Email Copy and Editing
Website and App Copy
Product Description Page (PDP) Copy
Push Notification Copy
Campaign Brainstorming
Video Scripts
Blog Post Writing and Optimization
Naming Products
Retail Endcap Copy
Packaging Copy
Internal Messaging Copy and Editing
~ And More ~
Some of my favorite projects were …
Writing customer-facing emails and brainstorming the “Ready, Set, Grow Bundle” name.
Our tone was friendly, fun, and informational. The time change email is one example of the many emails I produced that educated our customers on products and broke down advice from parenting experts.
